About Stacey
Stacey Carter was born and raised in San Antonio. She is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School and Southwest Texas State University. She earned her BS degree in Elementary Education with certifications in Reading, Dyslexia, Health Education and Home Economics. She taught her entire career of 36 years at Fort Sam Houston Elementary School. While there, she taught Second and Third grade then became the Reading Specialist, Dyslexia Interventionist and Dyslexia Coordinator for the District. She also worked with At Risk students and tested at all levels. She served on many leadership teams and committees at the District, Local and State level.
She has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, as well as Rampage Teacher of the Game, San Antonio Spurs Teacher of the Year, FSH Hero Award and Outstanding Young Women of America.
She is the spouse of a military veteran and is honored to serve military children and their families.
