Purple Up USA's mascot, CAMO, is a friendly chameleon who represents the adaptability and resilience of military children. CAMO is short for "Children Adapting to Military Operations," and this cute and colorful reptile symbolizes the unique challenges that military families and their children face, as well as their ability to overcome them.
As a chameleon, CAMO can change color to blend in with his surroundings, just like military children who must often adapt to new schools, friends, and communities. CAMO's fun and playful nature is a reminder that despite the challenges, military children are strong and resilient. Through Purple Up USA and CAMO, military families and children can find support, resources, and a sense of community. CAMO is a symbol of hope and a reminder that military children are not alone in their journey.
CAMO was created by the talented graphic artist Ben Starr. Ben donated his time and talent for free because he supports military children. We love Ben's CAMO design!
We also have a CAMO costume character and CAMO is available for appearance at your school or event. See the CAMO request form below for details.
